If you are not so much into astrology, you may be hearing the term “Age of Aquarius” for the first time. I personally developed an interest in astrology some time back and thought that sharing this information will be an eye opener for many of you.
Most astrologers agreed that humanity is on the verge of concluding an old era “Age of Pieces” and just entering a new era which is called “Age of Aquarius”. They estimate that every astrological age lasts approximately 2160 years. Every era is unique in its nature and attributes and bring about different set of opportunities and challenges. This means that the humanity has already started experiencing new events, circumstances and affairs that are quite new and nothing like what we used to have before.
These new circumstances are preparing us to welcome a new era and adapt to its unique requirements. The more flexible you will be in adapting to new changes, the smoother your ride will be into the “Age of Aquarius”. Here are 5 defining characteristics of the new “Aquarius Age” we are just entering:
- Digitization
Digitization mainly involves automation of most areas in our lives starting from introducing artificial intelligence & computerized machinery in workplaces, governments or what is called “the gig economy”, moving into digital currencies, online shopping, smart security controls and appliances at your home and reaching to advanced brain science that will allow people to control and manipulate computers through mere thinking or smart chips! Of course, as much as these advancements will contribute to making our lives more comfortable and effortless, they will still bring about some unique complications, issues, and huge social problems such as unemployment, lack of privacy, social anxiety, depression, and laziness that may lead to some serious health problems.
- Speed
One of the most noticeable features of “Age of Aquarius” is speed. This is applicable on both the rapid changes that we will experience in the world around us in terms of technological advancements and emerging of new laws, regulations, systems, beliefs, lifestyles, etc. or as simple as the quick passage of time when your week will be like a day, your month like a week, and your year like a month. The years will pass by even quicker than now and keep you wondering where the time has flown.
It is expected that everything will evolve in considerably rapid pace that agility and response rate will one of the key indicators to determine your level of effectiveness especially in the aspect of executing on innovative ideas and embracing ever changing technologies and changes. The quickest ones will dominate in this age.
- Freedom & Liberation
Freedom will be one key highlight of Aquarius Age. Freedom is the ultimate purpose behind anything we do as humans. Our souls are infinite & immortal and that is why we strive to do anything and everything that will get us closer to this state of liberation and set us free. This means breaking free from society implied restrictions concerning, how one should think, be, talk or even what specialization we should study or job we should do.
The main question arises here: is humanity ready to be free? Answering yes seems the logical obvious answer of course, however, freedom requires a great deal of courage and responsibility for choices made and decisions taken, and yet, many people find it difficult to assume full responsibility for their lives! Sounds very paradoxical, nonetheless, this is the reality.
The collective consciousness is not yet ready to stop the blame game and be mature enough to say: “it’s my life and I’m fully responsible”. It will take us a while before we start noticing a shift in thinking and behaviors of the masses when it comes to mindset about freedom and liberation and awareness to exercise our freedom without the need to be apologetic or seek other people’s acceptance.
- Humanity Centric
While humanity witnessed things like discrimination, unfairness, power games, and unequally distributed resources, etc. across many centuries in different forms and shapes; the new earth’s direction will be quite unprecedented. You may wonder in what way?
Well, it will be a quite promising era for minorities rights gender, religion, race, or ethnicity wise across the globe. For example, many foresee that the coming time will be remarkably female oriented and will have a lot of female activists coming to light and various regulations, laws empowering women in countries we never imagined will see that ever. Another example on this would be living in world which is more tolerant to differences in race, religion, or skin color and more interested in our similarities, common concerns, and unity as humans. Isn’t that great?! Indeed, all these changes will happen gradually over the next 2160 years as we evolve, but we can already see glimpses of what is coming up in our world from now.
- Focus on Talent
Taking advantage of your wealth, family name, nationality, or connections to get opportunities or certain privileges over others will soon be a thing from the past. The only thing that will matter in the “Age of Aquarius” will be how talented you are and how much value you are adding to your community or field. In other words, are you fulfilling your soul purpose in a way that benefits yourself and others? Looking back at what happened in 2020, the traditional approach of job security and regular paycheck at the end of the month is already in question by many individuals and corporations.
It will be highly advisable to start developing at least 1 or 2 key skills immediately to add to your toolkit. In addition, you better identify and polish that 1 special talent/gift that God has given you as each one of us is gifted in something that we can leverage and turn into gold! The barrier between your current circumstances and your dream life is finding out this very talent and capitalizing on it.
